As Director of Strategic Communication for White Ribbon Alliance, Stephanie Bowen leads the development and implementation of its communication strategy and serves as a spokesperson for the Alliance. Stephanie joined the Alliance in 2016 after spending more than a decade as a communication leader for several global health and development organizations including International Medical Corps, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action at the UN Foundation. Stephanie has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism and enjoyed a successful career as a producer and assignment editor with CNN, PBS, CNBC and other media outlets. She later earned a master’s degree in creative writing. Stephanie was drawn to the Alliance because of its focus on locally-led, sustainable solutions and is thrilled to use her love of story-telling and language to help accelerate progress for vulnerable moms and babies.

When not at work, Stephanie enjoys sailing and other outdoor adventures, cooking and live music. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband Marc and their dog Pepper.
