Nina joined the White Ribbon Alliance team as a communications intern in September, 2019. Nina is a junior undergraduate student at Georgetown University majoring in Global Health with a minor in English. Nina is passionate about maternal health and reproductive rights, volunteering as a trained doula. Nina has experience working with grassroots organizations in several countries, primarily with marginalized populations. Nina hopes to become a nursing midwife in the future and work directly in global health in order to bridge the gap between clinical practice and policy in the maternal health field, especially in her birth country, Mexico. In her free time, Nina does marketing work for a local cat cafe, fosters abandoned kittens, and loves to write.
