Michelle Rodriguez joined White Ribbon Alliance as the Policy & Program Manager for the self-care initiative in March 2016. Michelle’s role focuses on advancing policy and engaging communities to enhance healthy lifestyles. Drawn to the White Ribbon Alliance’s strong mission and collaborative approach, Michelle is thrilled to contribute to global solutions for healthy motherhood.
Over the past 15 years, Michelle has engaged community organizations, individuals and policy makers at the state and federal levels to address social justice issues, such as childhood hunger and older adult economic security. Before transiting to the policy field, she was an educator, where she expanded experiential education programs at both Maya Angelou Public Charter School in Washington, DC and Citizen Schools in Framingham, MA.
Michelle volunteers as an ESL teacher with Washington Language Center. She is also a certified yoga instructor, having completed her training in Mexico, where she explored the native medicine wheel and sacred ceremonies. Michelle received her B.S. in Political Science and History from Northeastern University and her M.A. from George Mason University in International Commerce and Policy.
