Marissa joined White Ribbon Alliance in 2018 as a Program and Administrative Associate before moving into her new role as Communications and Programs Associate. She works to support the Global Secretariat staff across a variety of capacities.

Marissa began her career with an internship at Georgetown University’s Institute for Reproductive Health, working on USAID interventions in gender-based violence and family planning taught through community theatre. On completion of her internship, she spent a year in Uganda working for Save the Mothers as a program coordinator for their Master of Public Health Leadership Program. Marissa holds an MPH from the University of Edinburgh, and a BSc in biology and Spanish from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.

In her free time, you can find Marissa running the streets and trails of D.C., petting all the good dogs along the way.
