Katy Bumpus joined White Ribbon Alliance in July 2019 as a Senior Business and Organizational Development Officer. Katy works to support the Global Secretariat across a variety of cross-cutting capacities, including implementing cross-departmental processes, ensuring key deliverables are communicated and met, collaborating with National Alliance colleagues on efforts related to governance, monitoring and evaluation, capacity development, and learning. She also plays an active role in WRA’s partnership and business development.

Katy’s previous experience spans international development, government and political arenas. Prior to attending graduate school, Katy spent eight years at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation working with their Executive, Global Policy and Advocacy, and Maternal Newborn and Child Health teams focusing on strategy development, stakeholder engagement, program implementation, and key advocacy deliverables. She has supported projects and staff in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, India, Malawi, Nepal, and Nigeria. Katy has also worked on U.S. policy at state and national levels. She received her MPP from King’s College London and her BA in Political Science with a minor in Sociology from the University of Kansas. Rock Chalk, Jayhawk!
