George leads implementation of WRA Malawi programs and activities in Malawi as a Programs Officer. He is a midwife who has worked in the NGO sector for the past three years. George also spent the first five years of his work experience as a bedside midwife and manager in the public health sector of Malawi. He received a BSc. Nursing and Midwifery degree from Mzuzu University. George developed a strong sense of the nonprofit sector as a beneficiary of the White Ribbon Alliance sponsorship to attend the 71st United General Assembly and as a One Young World Scholar in 2018. This experience gave him a deep appreciation for how the nonprofit sector improves the quality lives for the vulnerable, including mothers and newborns.
