Dr. Beatrice Nwagbara works at the Nigeria Country office of the World Health Organization (WHO) as a National Consultant, Package of Essential Non-Communicable Disease Interventions (PEN) where she engages with high level stakeholders in the Federal Ministry of Health and other relevant stakeholders to provide policy advisory support on NCD prevention and control in Nigeria.
She also provides programmatic and technical assistance to WHO sub-recipients and awardees on NCD related projects such as oral health, mental health and diabetes. She has over 10 years of professional experience and excellent track record in leading large-scale programs in health, agriculture, mining, gender, education and livelihood, with evidenced proficiency in developing and implementing health development strategies and action plans, collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders to improve health and socio-economic outcomes in difficult and resource constrained settings.
She acquired a Bachelor degree in Medicine and Surgery at University of Calabar and Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Beatrice is married with Children.
