Dr. Asma joined the Alliance in 2015 after spending more than a decade as a public health specialist. She started her career as a research officer at PIMS Cardiac Research Cell. Subsequent positions include Heartfile, HelpAge International, and Save the Children, where she championed reproductive, maternal, newborn and child health, among other related issues.

Dr. Asma earned a MBBS and later acquired a master’s degree in nutrition and project management.

When not at work, Dr. Asma enjoys parties, sightseeing, cooking and interior designing.
