WHAT WOMEN WANT: 1.2 MILLION WOMEN TOLD US WHAT THEY WANT FOR THEIR HEALTHCARE

Changemaker:Dr. Rohullah Amin

Location:Afghanistan

I’m playing my part for reproductive and maternal healthcare by actively participating in proposal developments to ensure improved sexual and reproductive healthcare and family planning services in Afghanistan.

I wanted to help improve Afghanistan’s lack of access to quality reproductive healthcare services.

My name is Rohullah Amin. I am from Wardak Province, Afghanistan.

I became involved with White Ribbon Alliance because of my background in sexual and reproductive health, my support of the Afghan Midwives Association (AMA), and my profession as a medical doctor.  More importantly, I wanted to help improve Afghanistan’s lack of access to quality reproductive healthcare services.

My favorite memory is helping develop a long-term strategy to improve Afghanistan’s sexual and reproductive healthcare services. I have already seen the lasting impacts of WRA Afghanistan, from our gathering of community leaders to advocate for quality sexual and reproductive health services throughout the country and fundraising to have more healthcare facilities available in order to increase accessibility of lifesaving services.

Thank youDr. Rohullah Amin

for playing your part.
